Kölner Dom in Köln, Germany
Officially the High Cathedral of Sts. Peter and Mary (German: 'Hohe Domkirche St. Peter und Maria'), it is often called the Cologne Cathedral (German: 'Kölner Dom') for short. Construction started in 1248 AD and finally finished in 1880, it stands to be the largest gothic church in Europe and has the largest façade of any church in the world. It was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1996.
